Welcome to the blog of me, Gary Wilkinson. Here is a little bit of information about myself, I am a freelance illustrator, specializing in children's illustration and realistic caricatures. I currently live in Japan having been a teacher for a number of years, but recently moved over into becoming freelance.
I am currently working on my first children's book along with some personal projects that I am very passionate about and will begin my search for the right illustration rep shortly. I would like to offer my thanks to www.svslearn.com which has been a great resource to me along with their friendly forum members, so head on over and join in one of the monthly competitions if you have time!
The aim of this blog is to share my knowledge, thoughts and offer tutorials to aid others on their artistic journeys. I'm sure like others there will be ups and downs and I hope through my successes and mistakes I can offer other artists something that can push and motivate them. I will be updating this blog every Wednesday (deadlines are the artists best friend) and if anyone has any questions, comments or random thoughts then feel free to post them in the comment box and I will do my best to reply, but for the moment here is Blog Cat:
